When Your Dog Is the Star of the Show — A Family Session in Elk Grove
Let's be honest — Bella kind of ran this session. And honestly? We're not mad about it.
This sweet couple came out for a family session in Elk Grove, and from the first shot it was clear that Bella wasn't just their dog — she's their whole heart. The way these two light up around her is the kind of thing you can't fake, and you definitely can't pose. It just is.
We found a beautiful spot under the willow trees with a little pond in the background, and the whole session had this easy, relaxed energy that made every frame feel natural. They were total naturals in front of the camera — laughing, squishing Bella's face, sneaking kisses on her ears — and Bella held her own like the seasoned model she clearly is. That lavender bandana? Obsessed.
Some of my favorite moments from this one are the quiet ones. Her arms wrapped around Bella, just soaking her in. The shot of all three hands — two human, one paw — stacked together. The double smooch on Bella's cheeks that had everyone cracking up. These are the photos you frame. These are the ones you'll be so glad you have.
This is exactly why I love doing family sessions in the Elk Grove area. Families come in all shapes — and some of them have four legs and a bandana collection. Every single one deserves to be captured.
