Elk Grove Engagement Photo Session
Last year, my middle daughter made a friend on the basketball team. That friendship turned into a volleyball friendship too, and somewhere along the way her mom became my friend! So when I found out my friend needed engagement photos, I was more than thrilled. Photographing people you already adore is the best kind of day.
Kenya and Marquis showed up in white, which is one of my favorite things to see when the light is about to get good. Kenya wore a flowy white sundress, and Marquis wore a white shirt and shorts. Same palette, and nothing pulling your eye away from the two of them.
We set up by the water under a weeping willow, and the golden light did exactly what I'd hoped. It came through the branches and landed right on them. The glow on these is so pretty.
And they look so cute together. There were a lot of foreheads touching and a lot of laughing, including one moment where Kenya tipped her head back and just cracked up. Then we found the big trunk of the willow, and Marquis leaned in for a kiss with Kenya tucked right up against it. We also got a walk together under the branches, hand in hand, and one close up of that ring in the golden light.
Congratulations, Kenya and Marquis! If you're engaged and thinking about your own session, I'd love to hear your story. Say hello here and we'll find a time and a spot that feels like you two.
