Willow Trees, a Sparkling Ring, and All the Feels — Engagement Session in Elk Grove
Some couples walk in front of the camera and you can just feel it — the ease, the warmth, the way they look at each other like nobody else is around. That was this session from start to finish.
We shot at one of Elk Grove's most stunning park spots, right along the water under a canopy of willow trees, and the light was doing everything right that evening. But honestly, the light was just a bonus. These two brought the real magic.
She showed up in a chocolate brown off-shoulder dress with floral tattoos peeking out and a marquise engagement ring that honestly deserves its own Instagram account. He was calm, attentive, and clearly obsessed with her — which, same. We did it all: walking shots through the grass, close-up ring detail shots (multiple, because that ring demanded it), a blanket on the ground with the sun burning through the willow behind them, and a lift-and-kiss moment that had a random goose photobombing in the background. Truly unplanned. Absolutely staying in the gallery.
Engagement sessions aren't just about pretty photos — though you will absolutely get those. They're about getting comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day, and spending an hour just being with your person in a beautiful place. No pressure, no stiff posing, just real moments captured while you're living them.
If you're newly engaged and somewhere in the Sacramento area, I would love to be part of your story. Book your session today and let's find your perfect spot.
