There's something special about photographing families when the kids are at that perfect in-between age. That's exactly what I experienced during this beautiful outdoor session with this family of four right here in Elk Grove.
The Perfect Fall Evening
We met during golden hour at one of my favorite local spots, where the natural grasses and water create the most dreamy backdrop. This family came dressed in coordinated neutrals, which photographed beautifully in the soft, warm light.
What I loved most about this session was how naturally everyone interacted. The kids, ages 10 and 12, were comfortable being themselves in front of the camera. We captured gorgeous posed family portraits, but my favorites are always those authentic moments: the sibling bond, mom and dad stealing a quiet moment together, and the whole family just being present with each other.
